Chel Salonspa 2019

Welcome winter 2016...and welcome cold, dry weather (yuck) let's warm up to some new looks this year!

Deep chocolate and auburn hair can be revamped with color melting. A soft way to introduce new tones to hair for a nice spring transition. Pastel hues are still a hit for blondes, and bright color blocking will be hot this spring.

With 70's inspired clothing popping up in the new year, expect the same for hair! Long soft fringes, centre parts, and Bardot bangs. (Ex: Dakota Johnson, Taylor Swift, and Sienna Miller)

If your thinking about taking your style shorter, there are some really modern variations of the pixy cut and short crop cuts that are trending in the new year as well.(Ex: Charlize Theron, Ruby Rose, Anne Hathaway, and Rita Ora)

Let's not forget about the men! As the menswear industry grows, so does the barbering world. The ever popular undercut can be revamped with a textured quiff or a side part. 2016 will say good bye to the man bun and HELLO to the man bob! A shorter style tailored to the individual (with cleaned up sideburns and nape of neck). Facial hair is still hot this winter, but possibly to hot for spring. Trimming down burly beards and shaping can help with an easy warmer weather transition.

Make up this winter has brought us dramatic eye brows and matte lips with a flawless contoured face. This spring 2016 we get playful! With the melting snow we also get to look forward to bright lips, a pop of colored eyeshadow, and abstract eyeliner!

With our very dry winter this year lets not forget to take care of the largest organ of our bodies, the epidermis ! How can you properly transition into the soft glow of spring if your feeling dull and dry? Treat your hair, hands, feet, and face right with some TLC!

New year new you? Let the family at Chel SalonSpa help inspire and create a look in 2016 that will kick start your year!
